Hours after Mid-Missouri residents were encouraged to take shelter for Saturday’s tornado warning, reports of the weather’s damage came rolling in. A train and tractor-trailer collided in Monroe County, Monroe County Joint Communications confirmed. The 65-year-old driver semi-truck driver who crashed into the train outside of Madison died the same afternoon, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. READ MORE

The U.S. Military took down a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon Saturday afternoon. A U.S. official confirmed the balloon was shot down with a single missile fired by a fighter jet over the Atlantic Ocean.
