ABOUT
Abigail Landwehr is a multimedia journalist. This means that her interest ranges from anything the broad term covers: writing, photography, videography, design, and audio. She just loves the storytelling process the most.
She grew up in Wyoming, about an hour and a half away from Yellowstone- that also means enough “Wyoming doesn’t exist” jokes to last her a lifetime.
After a year at Casper College, she graduated with an associate's degree in Multimedia Communication and interned at the Casper Star-Tribune, Wyoming’s newspaper of record. She then moved to Columbia, Missouri to finish her degree at the University of Missouri J-School. While in Missouri, Abigail worked as a multimedia journalist for ABC 17 for a year and has since freelanced for the Columbia Daily Tribune.
At this point, her 2009 Toyota Corolla is used to making the road trip from Missouri back to the West over the summer. After the first exciting 32-hour drive, she spent 10 weeks as an Outdoors Journalism Intern at the Statesman Journal and the Eugene Register-Guard in Oregon. The next summer, she interned with the Missoulian in Montana.
In her free time, she enjoys exactly the same things she does in her daily routine including storytelling, carrying her camera around wherever she goes and making obscure 90s sitcom references. (Ask her about Frasier, she loves Frasier.)
